Our project titled "Manufacture of Marble Quarry Machine Chassis with Welding Robot and Increasing Export Capacity" has been successfully completed within the scope of KOSGEB KOBİGEL-SME Development Project Support Program, Increasing the Weight of Medium Advanced Technology Sectors in Production and Exports (2018-2019). Project Purpose and Studies:
In the project, it is aimed to increase the weight of production and export capacity by using the robotic welding system in the high technology sector in marble quarry machines. In our company, the chassis of 9 different types of marble quarry machines was previously produced by hand welding with human power. Welding quality in manual welding depends on the experience of the welder and the production time takes quite a long time. Therefore, within the scope of the project, it was aimed to purchase a welding robot system, to install it in the factory, to start operating, training, trial and mass production. Thus, it is planned to produce the chassis of the existing machines in a much faster and higher quality than the current situation without human touch. On the other hand, most of the sales consist of domestic sales. Although our company has nearly 50 years of experience in the production of marble quarry machines, it has not taken its deserved place in terms of opening to foreign markets. In its current state, it can only catch up with the demands in the domestic market. Within the scope of the project, thanks to the welding robot, the production capacity and quality were increased and the lead time was shortened. In order to increase the export capacity, the company and machinery were defined with the participation of foreign meetings, fairs, and opening to foreign markets and increasing foreign sales were ensured.
